Involving the young - student participation in school administration
Both FOS and BOS at the Maximilian-Kolbe-School have their own “SMV”. This abbreviation stands for the German expression “SchülerMitVerantwortung” - which literally means “students sharing responsibility” – it is a common institution at German schools. The purpose of these groups is for example to simplify the contact and information transfer between pupils and their parents, teachers and headmasters or, in case of a conflict between two people, to make sure that both parties observe the school’s codex and find an adequate solution to their difficulty.
Both SMV-groups consist of one liaison teacher and three pupils that are elected every year by all class representatives. All memebers of the student council share this E-Mail address: smv|at|fosbos|dot|net
